Our company is seeking a Warehouse Lead in our Loxley, AL facility who will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. This position involves leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring that all processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety regulations. The Warehouse Lead is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and overseeing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.


Warehouse Lead Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead, train, and oversee a team of warehouse associates to ensure productivity and safety standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the accuracy of inventory counts, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Warehouse Operations: Monitor daily operations to ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and operates efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members are following company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with management to implement changes that enhance efficiency.
  • Communication: Assist management in reinforcing & conveying clear communication of goals, expectations, and feedback with warehouse associates.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that all warehouse equipment is maintained and used properly and report any issues to management.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues that arise in the warehouse.

Warehouse Lead Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a warehouse associate or similar role with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment, i.e., forklifts.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counting and order fulfillment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
