Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our operations in Loxley, AL. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining the efficient functioning of our warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team of warehouse associates, coordinate daily activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Guide, train, and manage a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity and safety standards.
- Inventory Oversight: Ensure accurate inventory counts, conduct regular cycle counts, and address any discrepancies.
- Order Processing: Guarantee timely and precise picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Warehouse Management: Supervise daily operations to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Safety Enforcement: Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with company safety guidelines among all team members.
- Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with management to implement changes that boost efficiency.
- Effective Communication: Support management in communicating clear goals, expectations, and feedback to warehouse associates.
- Equipment Oversight: Ensure proper maintenance and usage of warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to management.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve operational challenges that arise within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with proven experience in a warehouse role, including at least one year in a leadership capacity. Candidates must be capable of operating warehouse machinery, including forklifts, and should have the physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely. Basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment are essential, along with flexibility to work shifts and overtime as necessary. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse settings is required, along with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
