TPI is currently seeking full-time Shipping/Receiving Manager to work on-site in our Pennsauken, NJ location. (Experience in direct mail is highly desired for this position)
Position Summary: The Shipping/Receiving Manager is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving operations for TPI to ensure the smooth and efficient handling of our products from start to finish. The Manager is also responsible for leading the team in the Shipping/Receiving Department and working with various departments to uphold the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction for our clients. This position is responsible for meeting strict shipping deadlines to meet the needs of TPI's customers. The shipping/receiving manager is expected to drive delivery trucks for delivering material to mail processing facilities in the local area. (CDL is NOT required for this position)
Essential Functions:
- Utilize logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports for upper management.
- Oversee the operations of the shipping and receiving department.
- Monitor production schedule and prioritize shipping/receiving workflow.
- Process all inbound and outbound shipments and make sure that they are delivered to the proper entities.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping and receiving operations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of shipping documents.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to comply with safety and legal regulations.
- Lead, train, and evaluate shipping and receiving staff to ensure a high level of competency and efficiency.
- Drive delivery truck to various mail processing facilities in local area, as needed.
- Operate forklift and pallet jack to move palletized material.
- Receive, identify, record, and stow shipments of paper and printing materials.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales departments to ensure client satisfaction with shipping and delivery processes.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is maintained clean and up to safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- 5 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and policies.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and requirements by the United States Postal Service (USPS)
- Must have experience driving vehicles with a manual transmission.
- Forklift driving experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel required.
- Must be able to compose well-written messages to internal and external customers.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to represent TPI in a professional manner to outside vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role in the Printing Industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience with direct mail and variable mail in the gaming industry.
- Experience using Window Book software.
Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Continuous vision required for detailed work. Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement for data entry. Occasional lifting up to 80 lbs. Driving box truck or delivery van moderately. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized load. Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm for 1st shift, 10:30am-8:30pm for 2nd shift, and 9:30pm-6:30am for 3rd shift. Weekend hours required during peak production times. Typically works 40-50 hours per week.
The range for this position is $24-$30 per hour. Compensation is dependent on experience and industry knowledge.
