Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) - Maternal Care is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in maternal and child health settings. The RN will utilize their skills in MedSurg, critical care, and pediatrics to deliver high-quality care in both acute and home health environments.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide acute care in MedSurg, maternal and child health, critical care, and pediatrics.
  • Deliver current maternal child home health care services.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatment.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and preventive health measures.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of acute care experience in MedSurg, maternal and child health, critical care, and pediatrics.
  • Current maternal child home health experience.

Education & Certifications:

  • Valid New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Languages:

  • Proficient in English (Speak, Read, Write)
