Job Type: Part-Time; 8-10 hours per week

About Us: Springfield First United Methodist Church is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to spiritual growth, worship, service, loving God and People. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Director to lead our traditional service and enhance our worship experience through exceptional music ministry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate music for contemporary worship services (9am Sunday).

  • Manage and rehearse the worship/praise band, ensuring high-quality performances.

  • Select contemporary worship songs that resonate with our congregation and align with service themes.

  • Assist the Music Director as needed with various music ministry tasks.

  • Responsibilities for children and youth music ministry.

  • Collaborate with the pastor and other church staff to create cohesive and impactful worship experiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field.

  • Proven experience in contemporary Christian music and worship leading.

  • Proficiency in keyboard and vocals.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
