Position Summary:

The IT Assistant provides support to the IT Department and the Systems Administrators. The IT Assistant performs computerized system validation and assists in maintaining all computer and network systems for Alturas Analytics, Inc.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Provides technical support to all Alturas Analytics, Inc. personnel with various computer related tasks including hardware, software, configuration and security troubleshooting
  • Assists in deployment of new workstations and other computer systems
  • Assists in maintenance of computer and network systems including hardware, software, peripherals, data backup, data archiving etc.
  • Drafts validation plan and test scripts for computerized systems validation, reviews, verifies and executes test scripts

Additional Duties and Tasks:

  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Working knowledge in business track Microsoft Windows and Office products
  • Good understanding of user access and permissions in a business environment
  • Good understanding of PC hardware, printers, switches, routers, cabling and other network equipment
  • Experience in MS server software products desired
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, databases and SQL desired
  • Previous experience in modern testing laboratory is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and work at counter heights of 36-40 inches for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to alternate sitting and standing for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer monitor for up to 8 hours per day
