The Role: The Community Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects maintaining our property in like-new condition with excellent curb appeal:

  • Perform hands-on maintenance & repair work for work orders submitted by residents the Assistant Community Manager.
  • Keep the exterior of the property in excellent condition by supplementing contracted landscaping with grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
  • Touch up paint in common areas on a regular basis.
  • Make ready units for new resident move-ins, including paint touch up.
  • Change property air filters, refrigerator filters, and smoke detector batteries on a rotating schedule.
  • Maintain the pool and spa including daily cleaning, water quality testing and accurately record test results in an Excel based log.
  • Supplement contracted snow removal as necessary.
  • Be on call for maintenance emergencies and lock outs.

Must Haves: In order to become and remain a part of the City Center Apartments team as the Community Maintenance Tech, you must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Working knowledge of pool/spa care, painting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances, landscaping and ice/snow removal.
  • Ability to work any day of the year including your scheduled hours, overtime and responding to after-hours emergency calls in rotation with other team members.
  • Proficient with processing work orders in a property management system such as ResMan or Yardi.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, climb stairs, push/pull, reach above shoulders, climb ladders, use hand tools and power tools.

  • Working with the entire on-site team including the Regional Executive Director, Assistant Community Manager and Community Leasing Manager.

Accountabilities: At City Center Apartments, we value measurable results. In this role, you'll be accountable to the following metrics:

  • Resolve 90% of resident work orders within one business day unless parts are required.
  • Enter work order updates real-time throughout the day, capturing notes and before & after pictures as work is completed.

This position requires a driver's license.
