Job Description:

As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be pivotal in delivering excellent customer service and administrative support. You will greet patients, manage their registration, verify insurance details, handle payments, and ensure a smooth patient flow by accurately entering data into our EMR system.

Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet patients and deliver superior customer service.
  • Assist with patient registration processes and address inquiries.
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the EMR system.
  • Confirm active insurance coverage and verify eligibility.
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and manage appointment calendars.
  • Reconcile daily charges, fee tickets, and payment methods.
  • Handle phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required for potential travel to other offices.
  • Previous experience in orthopedics or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends at walk-in centers.
  • Full-time employees may be required to work urgent care hours from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM on some days.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans, including worker's compensation.
  • Solid math skills for handling payments and reconciliations.
