SEEKING EXECUTIVE CASINO HOST:
BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
To generate incremental revenue within the top player segments by identifying and incentivizing players to the property. Increase The Mill Casino · Hotel market share by attracting new affluent play to the Casino. Create and
foster a memorable gaming experience for the top player segments.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Be available 24/7 for guests needs via company issued cell phone.
- Manage player accounts and comps based on recorded play, earned points, comp availability and patron profitability.
- Responsible for meeting monthly guest contact, revenue, and sign-up goals.
- Assists in special events to ensure guest satisfaction and event success, giving special attention to any high level VIP guests who may be in attendance.
- Hosts are required to secure hotel and dining reservations and additional VIP services for the high level preferred gaming customers.
- Ability to speak on a microphone in a public setting.
- Draft responses to letters and e-mails received from guests or internal departments.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with Marketing Manager and/or departmental meetings.
- Stay informed about all property events, initiatives, products, and services focused on and/or relating to Mill Club guests.
- Assist when needed in the Mill Club to ensure guest service goals are met.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner.
- Anticipate and provide for guest needs in advance of request
- Consistently demonstrates the inclusion of Million Dollar Service in every guest interaction.
- Use tools provided by management to develop profitable programs to attract, retain and develop premium customers.
- Build relationships through specialized, personalized and preferential services.
- Know the names and gaming activity and other known needs of the top 100 patrons (Minimum)
- Cultivate leads received through in house and through networking channels for the established criteria customer base.
- Act as a guest liaison, handle guest issues and resolve situations to insure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Assist in the development and implementation of special events and giveaways.
- Oversee and ensure departmental compliance of gaming related policies and procedures.
- Work with other departments to coordinate VIP services and events.
- Assist Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining quality policies and procedures of the department to insure effective use of funds and personnel.
- Work with Marketing team to coordinate projects.
- Assist in the training and development of Tribal Member employees following The Mill's Tribal Member Preference policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- This position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing or Management, or equivalent work experience with at least three years of casino marketing/host experience. Supervisory experience a plus.
- Must have experience working with casino player tracking/CRM systems.
- Must have experience in training and in implementing Guest Service policies.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written skills, and ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Professional attitude, guest service skills and team leadership required.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Office.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Must be able to lift 20 pounds with occasional lifting of more than 35 pounds, assisted. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The position requires the ability to process information using computer methods and technology, at times for more than 50% of the work time. Must be able to move chairs, tables and event props as necessary. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
