Position Overview:

The Automotive Detail Technician at Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep plays a critical role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of vehicles within the dealership service center. They are responsible for ensuring that vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and detailed both inside and out to meet customer expectations and dealership standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors to restore and maintain their appearance.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and steam clean vehicle interiors, including carpets, upholstery, and surfaces.
  • Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Clean and dress tires and wheels to enhance their appearance.
  • Apply protective coatings and treatments as needed to preserve vehicle surfaces.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all interior surfaces, including dashboard, console, door panels, and trim.
  • Remove stains, odors, and debris from upholstery and carpeting.
  • Detail and polish interior surfaces to restore shine and luster.
  • Inspect vehicles for exterior damage and imperfections.
  • Perform paint correction and touch-up work to repair minor scratches and blemishes.
  • Apply paint sealants, waxes, and other protective coatings to enhance and protect vehicle paint.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed vehicles to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all detailing work meets dealership standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain and clean detailing equipment, including pressure washers, steam cleaners, vacuums, and polishing tools.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when using chemicals, equipment, and tools.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations and guidelines for handling and disposal of detailing chemicals and waste.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive detailing or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of detailing techniques, products, and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to achieve high-quality results.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
