We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Lead to help manage our team in the production and assembly of trade show exhibit structures. This working role requires a candidate who is hands-on and possesses strong leadership qualities and computer skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign projects to team members and ensure timely completion with high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Monitor and document team members' hours on projects to maintain accurate records.
  • Actively participating in the production process.
  • Utilize computer skills to manage projects in our project management platform, ensuring adherence to established processes.
  • Ensure stock materials are readily available and assist in making sure minimum amounts are kept up.
  • Assist estimating in value engineering projects.
  • Ensure accuracy of quantity in stock rental components
  • Assist in making sure the facility is clean and well maintained.
  • Work closely with the warehouse manager and shop foreman to allocate labor wherever needed.
  • Uphold safety standards, providing a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including weekends and overtime, to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  • Attend or assign staff for project launch meetings, production launch meetings, and quality assurance meetings (QAM's) to represent the shop team and ensure project completeness.
  • Participate in the interviewing process, contribute to new hire training, and conduct annual performance reviews.


Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in tradeshow exhibit building.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and project management platforms.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in a workshop environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to take charge and assertively lead a team to achieve high-quality, timely results.
