We are an entrepreneurial boutique Immigration law firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced paralegal to join our team and be a total superstar – working directly with the owner to support the team and help our clients.

 

We want to be known for helping our clients come out of an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast and we need an experienced paralegal who can hit the ground running.

 

We love to help people learn and grow. We need a paralegal with experience in Immigration law. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding.

 

This is a part-time position that may quickly turn into full-time where you are expected to manage a caseload. Initial employment compensation will be based your experience, with opportunities for increases after that. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Possess strong organizational abilities.
  • Heavily focused on drafting, reviewing, and editing a large number of support letters, personal statements, affidavits, and cover letters.
  • Work closely with managing attorney and staff members to ensure swift action through the immigration processes.
  • Ensuring deadlines are prioritized properly for the work to get done in the proper order
  • Enter client notes and billable time into the Case Management System (MyCase).
  • Utilizing Microsoft 365 for work product and communication with clients
  • Utilizing Docketwise software for forms preparation
  • Gathering items from clients directly



Qualifications:
  • Experience at a legal firm working on business immigration law matters for at least 2-3 years required.
  • Wide range of knowledge regarding immigration-related topics.
  • E2, H1Bs, L-1 or EB2 experience is REQUIRED.
  • Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
