Edison Home Health Care is seeking a bilingual Spanish Intake Specialist to join our growing team. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure a timely and accurate billing process. We are looking for a great communicator who is customer service-oriented and dedicated to providing an excellent experience for our new patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Proficiency: Daily use of HHA Exchange Software.
- Patient Data Management: Enter patient information into E-Pace to verify eligibility and ensure accuracy.
- Insurance & Authorizations: Familiarity with major insurances. Obtain authorizations from MLTC and enter them into HHA Exchange. Follow up on authorization denials and discrepancies.
- Billing & Documentation: Accurately submit patient information and correct any pre-billing issues. Monitor daily attendance entries and patients' Medicaid eligibility and discharged cases.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication with all relevant departments regarding patient cases.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience: At least one year of experience in an office environment (required).
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to coordinate multiple activities concurrently.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish (required).
