Summary:

As Sr Director Global Sourcing, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the global sourcing strategies for both finished goods, indirect materials and services of Instant Pot Brand, strategies that drive year-over-year productivity, identify and qualify best-in-class suppliers, increase sustainability in the supply chain, optimize pay terms, reduce lead times, improve delivery/quality performance, drive efficiencies, mitigate risk and support a broad business strategy driving Procurement Functional Excellence across the globe.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies to achieve annual productivity goals, payment terms optimization, lead times reduction and on time delivery goals for all sourced finished goods and indirect materials as well as services.
  • Lead all procurement activities to support all NPD projects and business awards - work with cross functional team to deliver NPD projects on time, best initial cost and on quality.
  • Manage and own supplier relationship (SRM) with all suppliers; manage risk through execution of supply agreements, geographical diversification strategies, dual sourcing etc.
  • Manage and own suppliers’ performance through supplier development plans.
  • Execute Instant Pot Brands supply chain purchasing strategy and drive productivity through supplier development activities. Monitor key suppliers’ monthly KPIs, standardize key processes for all regions.
  • Drive working capital improvement through such strategies as payment term extensions and inventory reduction initiatives (Lead time improvement, Stocking / consignment agreement etc.)
  • Provide leadership of the overall organizations, improve employee engagement and responsible for talent development.
  • Develop and execute supplier diversification and tariff mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the annual negotiation process
  • Implement and manage Supplier Identification/Selection and Sourcing Board Approval processes
  • Implement improved RFQ process to achieve best initial costs
  • Led quarterly supplier innovation sessions and business reviews by utilizing scorecards
  • Manage COO and Conflict Mineral compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Master’s degree, majoring in supply chain management, sourcing and purchasing
  • Minimum 15+ years’ experience in sourcing and supply chain area, and Minimum 10 years’ experience at senior management level
  • People management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, purchasing, logistics and customer service
  • Strong negotiation skills and a good personality are required when communicating with suppliers and with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within deadline and prioritize effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skill, problem solving and service oriented
  • Familiar with SAP and Microsoft tools
  • Good English written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and coaching skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented with strong written communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing disciplines
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
  • Honesty, integrity and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is required.
  • Consuming products industry from a multi-national environment
  • Familiar with manufacturers operation
  • Travel to Head Office and Asia – up to 30%
