General Job Description: As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare product for shipment.

Requirements:

Base Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sorts and organizes completed prescriptions
  • Prepares shipments
  • Performs supply inventory and places orders
  • Receives and distributes orders to the appropriate department
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Base Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team
  • Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
  • Work to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
  • Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the Facilities we serve
  • Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
  • FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
  • Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times

GROWTH PROSPECT: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to rapidly master several software tools we use to run our business (operational, routing and dispatch). This job has the distinct possibility of rapidly growing into something with oversight responsibilities, commensurate with the demonstration of those abilities.
