Job purpose  

The purpose and responsibility of our Facilities & Transportation Generalist is to assist the Facilities and Transportation Director with maintenance and transportation, assist the RISE Mobile Crew Manager with projects as assigned, and provide support for individuals in Community Services. 

 

Duties and responsibilities  

Daily Programing  

  • Treats individuals with dignity and respect.  
  • Exemplify the culture and mission of the agency. 
  • Job Coach. 
  • Provides transportation to and from activities; while keeping the inside of vehicles clean and ensuring that pre-trip inspections are completed.  
  • Works all assigned schedules, including but not limited to arriving and departing on time, requesting time off in advance, and notifying your supervisor of changes to your assigned work schedule. 
  • May be required to work an extended or modified work schedule when necessary. 
  • Supervise and support individuals in their community environments. 
  • Understand and support individuals’ needs outlined in their Individual Support Plan. 
  • Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans. 
  • Coordinates with the RISE Mobile Crew Manager and lends support for projects or contracts. 
  • Coordinates with the Facilities and Transportation Director and lends support with maintenance and transportation. 
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles-both exterior and interior. 

Teamwork 

  • Treats all individuals and coworkers with dignity, respect, and fairness. 
  • Be a team player. 
  • Work cooperatively with other departments to carry out the program goals and objectives of individuals served. 
  • Support and encourage team member involvement in activities and agency goals. 
  • Ability to teach small groups in a safe and adaptable manner. 
  • Foster and maintain relationships with all levels of the RISE team. 

All other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications  

  • Must be 18 years of age. 
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Must have and maintain current driver’s license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur’s license within 14 days of hire. 
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment. 
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and will be subject to random drug and alcohol checks thereafter. 
  • Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.

Physical requirements  

  • Prolonged periods of standing, leaning, walking, bending, and lifting.  
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs. 
  • Ability to adapt to extreme weather changes and conditions to assist with snow removal and fall prevention in inclement weather. 
  • Ability to focus on hydration in warm weather conditions and work in such conditions safely.
