Production Technician

The Production Technician is primarily responsible for handling various tasks related to the preparation, testing, and organization of Telkonet products including digital thermostats and Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) accessories. The Production Technician participates in programing processes and reworking techniques involving electrical assembly, as well as quality control procedures. This position will also participate in processing outgoing customer shipments and tracking inventory products.

Specifically, the Production Technician’s responsibilities are:

• Load software and programs onto Thermostats and related items.
• Determine component part placement from documentation and drawings and assemble components.
• Conduct testing, programs analyzer settings and connect appropriate fixture unit to conduct intermediate and final testing of units.
• Operate various hand and power tools to assemble parts.
• Install Operating Systems onto hardware.
• Install firmware onto thermostats or similar devices.
• Minor Setup - Logging in as the user and setting some customizations.
• Work with Warehouse Manager to coordinate part order releases and part order processes.
• Independent demand parts orders, including inventory allocation maintenance, paperwork printing, parts pulling, and parts packaging.
• Perform inventory control including part number identification, transactions, and organization (unplanned issues and receipts as needed, transferring of product as needed and cycle count and recount for accuracy).
• Participate in the monthly physical inventory count team as assigned.
• Possess the ability to be a team player.
