  • Effectively prioritize and manage project engineering workload; apply innovative problem-solving skills and critical thinking to daily tasks.

  • Manage the procurement/submittal process for assigned scope to meet the project schedule; ensure correct materials and quantities arrive on time.

  • Collaborates with our field leaders to execute work at a high level.
  • Monitor quality of work in place and participate in the GLY QA/QC program.
  • Participate in project meetings; prepare and distribute accurate meeting
  • Communicate project needs in a timely manner to appropriate team members, including the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Follow and use all GLY PE best practice procedures, logs, process, software, and technologies.
  • Assemble close-out information including as-builts and warranties.

 

what it takes:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural, etc.) or related field of study.
  • 2 or more years project engineering experience with a General Contractor that self-performs work; relevant military and / or intern experience counts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and Auto-CAD required; knowledge of REVIT, Sketch-Up and On-screen Take-Off, PlanGrid, Smartsheet and Enterprise Resource Planning software (e.g. CMiC) a plus.
  • Other specialized experience or accreditations preferred, e.g. LEED, DBIA, EIT, etc.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills - communication is a large part of what we do.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well with others – we like to have fun.
  • Adaptable – you work well under pressure and adapt quickly to different situations / work environments.
  • Willingness to learn and openness to new ideas. GLY is always striving to stay ahead with new technologies and innovations.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 and represents a range of experience from 2 to 5 years.
