Job DescriptionJob Description

Plans, directs and controls activities of the division to accomplish budgeted financial objectives. May have responsibility for planning and performance in all or most of the following functions: Production, Engineering, Sales, Personnel, Purchasing and Accounting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops and recommends short and long-range objectives consistent with organization guidelines.

Recommends plans and budgets and conducts activities in accordance with approved plans and budgets.

Plans and directs research in order to recommend improvement or expansion of operations.

Coordinates division operations with appropriate organization executives.

Reviews and approves sales programs of division according to organization policies and participates in formulation of marketing objectives, policies and programs.

Ensures that operations conform with local, state, and federal governmental regulations.

Maintains appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the division.

Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations, through direct or delegated contacts with representative individuals or groups.

Reviews organization and staffing plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of division objectives. Administers division salary and personnel policy programs. Recommends modifications of these programs as necessary.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepares Special reports, as needed.

Assists in projects within the company or department.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

President, Executive Vice President(s), COO’s

SUBORDINATE STAFF:

Middle and lower level management and staff.

KNOWLEDGE:

Extensive knowledge of Amada products.

Experienced in the sales and service process as it relates to the sheet metal industry.

SKILLS:

Highly developed techniques in sales and marketing.

Computer knowledge (word processing and spreadsheets).

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), detailed-oriented.

TRAVEL:

Occasional Travel
