VIA INC. established itself as a leading service company that delivers exceptional, convenient customer service across the mid Atlantic region and our employees are the foundation on which the success of our services continues to grow. Since our recent expansion(s), we are looking for new applicants to join our team. 
We are looking for Shop Technicians to assist the Office and Appliance Repair Technicians in customers homes. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients and technicians depend on us for their appliance repairs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Responsibilities

  • Travel for long periods of time
  • Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
  • Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic, weather or road constructions, as needed
  • Must be able to lift or maneuver 50+ pounds
  • Keeping your company provided van clean and organized
  • Pick up/drop off parts from technicians and our parts distributor
  • Cleaning/tidying up the shop (i.e. mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash, dusting)
  • Snow removal prep (i.e. shoveling, salting, clearing paths for safe and easy access to buildings)
  • Cleaning gutters, blowing and raking leaves

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Driver
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A clean driving record
  • Familiarity with GPS devices
  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and appliances
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
