Job Title: Training Coordinator

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: HR

Reports to: President of Operations


Position summary: Responsible for culture building and development of the Family Express “Living Brand” by effectively managing all aspects of the company’s human resources and the human resource department, consistent with the corporate vision and mission. Effectively develop and manage all aspects of the company’s employee training programs in all departments, human resource development, and convenience store training facilities.


General Purpose: Maintain culture building and development of the Family Express “Living Brand” by observing all aspects of the company’s human resources and the human resource department, consistent with the corporate vision and mission. Provide assistance to human resources and its programs and policies.


Role Qualifications: Possess expertise in areas of development, implementation, and management of progressive training programs. Be able to effectively and professionally interact with all organizational levels. Possess previous experience in Human Resources, training, teaching, or related field. Must work in a Family Express store for no less than 3 months.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Maintain accountability for the performance of each trainee in accordance with our mission and vision statements
  • Develop, implement, and manage all human resource related training programs, manuals, policies, and documentation necessary to meet continually our standards of total customer satisfaction
  • Communicates effectively with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for tams and individuals
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to date on new training methods and techniques
  • Maintain a complete understanding of company operations
  • Maintain accountability for all training conducted at all organizational levels
  • Prepare quarterly turnover reports and submit to appropriate staff
  • Time management, including multitasking, productivity, and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills
  • High performance team building and strong team player; teamwork and the ability to enhance team members’ performance
  • Commitment to company mission and values
  • Basic mathematical & computer proficiency
  • Constructively deals with conflict

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • 2-4 year college degree
  • Experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Teacher, or similar role
  • Previous retail experience
  • Microsoft Office experience

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
