Assistant Store Manager of Inventory
Pincanna is a vertically integrated cannabis company with headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan and a production facility in Pinconning, Michigan. We are a privately held company aiming to drive organic profit within the value chain and create brands that will transcend. Our seed-to-sale operations include cultivation, the production of branded goods, and retail. We are driven by our commitment to providing quality and consistency for our customer base.
Our Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team and specializes in inventory management. As part of the leadership team, they are responsible for the growth and success of the retail store. Most time will be spent on the ensuring compliance with state and local laws, upholding Company standards and operating all aspects of the dispensary, development and training of staff, driving sales, and ensuring customers receive high quality service.
Role Responsibilities
- Facilitates weekly inventory audits, investigating deficiencies in inventory and reconciliation.
- Maintains an Expiration Log of aging or expiring inventory, facilitates a monthly Aging Inventory Report and review process and communicates sell-through/promotional status of products to Store Manager and Purchasing Team.
- Communicate with management to ensure there is a consistent supply of inventory.
- Remains responsible for new product intakes through METRC and processing into databases, with full accuracy as dictated by company compliance and accounting departments.
- Ensure all products have appropriate labels prior to be sold.
- Maintains full compliance with state regulations, handling, storage, selling, and tracking of products.
- Implements and maintains effective inventory organization and best practices.
- Monitors inventory levels through the stores' METRC account and conducts daily audits to prevent loss and ensure strict compliance.
- Manages the store's product waste log, reporting waste to both Compliance, Purchasing, and Store Management Team.
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
- Create and implement staff incentive programs to increase level of service, promote up-selling, and enhance staff morale.
- Ensure all technology platforms are updated with our most current information (specials, events, marketing materials).
- Oversee all returns, exchanges, and employee purchases.
- Oversee return to vendors for product replacement or credit
- Complete checkouts for budtenders and delivery drivers ensuring all cash handling procedures are being followed.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed and the store is completely secured before departing at night or opening in the morning.
- Meet with management team to ensure proper follow-up on all action items and address any personnel or professional issues.
- Handle customer issues and concerns in a professional and effective manner
- Support scheduling and coordinate staff onboarding.
- Responsible for POS updates and maintenance in conjunction with inventory personnel
- Ensure that the Company brand is always properly represented
- Assist with shift lead reviews, 30, 60, 90-day reviews for new employees as well as annual reviews for all line level staf
- Create and implement procedures that will enhance customer service.
- Note: The primary position responsibilities outlined above are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be required depending on the volume and complexity of the store.
Experience
- Familiar with METRC
- 5+ Years of retail management experience
- Cannabis industry experience

- Lifting up to 25 Pounds
- Standing for 8+ hours
