Science Systems and Applications, Inc. seeks an Administrative Analyst for support at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support on-site at Goddard. This will include but is not limited to: being available on-site during the work day to assist the lab with in-person duties; assisting in the assembly and editing of documents; securing badges for visitors; laboratory calendar and appointment management; procurement of supplies; facilitating phone, email, and network access; publications management; facilitation of office moves; space management; and conference room scheduling. Other duties may be assigned.

This position is on-site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and is not eligible for telework.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and a minimum of 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Skilled at using the MS Office suite of products, particularly MS Excel
  • Must be friendly and customer service oriented
  • Must have the ability to successfully multi-task in a very dynamic office environment
  • Adept at learning to use new web-based applications
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and communicate policy, procedures, and instruction manuals
  • Effective verbal communications with groups of employees as well as management
  • Ability to write coherent non-technical reports and correspondence
  • Ability to follows instructions; respond to management direction; accept personal responsibility for actions, performance, and results; keep
    commitments; and complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views; give and welcome feedback; contribute
    to building a positive team spirit; support everyone's efforts to succeed
  • Attendance/punctuality: candidate is required to consistently be at work in person and on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; and arrive at meetings on time.

Desired Skills and Qualities:

  • Familiarity with NASA processes and systems such as: IDMAX, NAMS, ESD, AMMS, SEWP
  • Familiarity with web content management is a plus

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
