Staging Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a skilled, friendly and responsive Staging Technician to join our growing company. The Staging Technician performs all tasks involved in the setup, configuration, final assembly of system orders as well as add on order for additional models, production and testing companies’ electronics’ products. This includes pulling parts or subassemblies, building subassemblies to work order or as directed by Supervisor, Manager, or Director. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits, to ensure production and testing is as efficient and safe as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads system orders and performs work as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Build, test and trouble shoot subassemblies within the standard rates set by company’s electronics.
• Program or update programs and test all required assemblies or standalone equipment as stipulated by Engineering.
• Test all system setups in-house prior to shipping to customer to ensure functionality.
• Ensure any back ordered material needed are captured within the ERP system so it will be properly reported as BO and to ensure customer receives timely once available.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
• Fill out and maintain all required paperwork for the building and testing of all sub-assemblies or components as required.
• Notify Supervisor, Manager, or Director of any mechanical or material issues.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Work with minimal supervision
• Works well with other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma required. AA in electronics or software preferred
• Strong mechanical/repair background a plus.

• Assembly/production: 2 years (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 2 years (Preferred)

• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Aptitude for learning new software programs.
• Strong verbal communication skills and detailed oriented.
• This is a full-time role located at our Elkridge, MD Warehouse.
