Laser Material Handler
Duties/Responsibilities/Skills:
- Reviews nests to be produced on laser.
- Determines and loads correct material that needs to be staged on the laser bed.
- Verifies material, thickness, overall size, and finish meets job requirements.
- Cuts parts according to due date/meeting customer quality requirements.
- Produce quality, error free parts with precision on customer specifications.
- Reviews traveler/prints to verify what needs to be cut.
- Read blueprints, tape measure, and caliper.
- Be able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment while completing jobs in allotted time frames.
Experience:
- CAD/CAM/ProNest Software & Amada Laser
- Prior Laser experience and knowledge (required)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking with frequent pulling, pushing, lifting, & bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds daily.
- All personal protective equipment must be worn where necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes, etc.)
Education:
- High School or equivalent preferred
Salary:
- Starting at $17- $20/hour (based on knowledge and experience)
Schedule:
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Monday-Friday
- Daytime
