Electrical Estimator

The Estimator is tasked with planning, coordinating, and overseeing all estimating activities, including the creation of project budgets, preparing estimates, cost tracking, and providing project support across all divisions. The Estimator is also responsible for reviewing final estimate packages to ensure they are accurate and complete, as well as maintaining the company's estimating database.Responsibilities:
- Assists in managing department activities collaboratively, remains accessible to team members, provides regular feedback, and focuses on developing employees' skills and encouraging professional growth.
- Oversee the preparation of estimates.
- Evaluate bid requests and proposals.
- Organize a weekly bid calendar and ensure estimates are completed accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
- Accountable for setting priorities and planning work activities, managing time effectively, and creating practical action plans.
- Assign tasks, set clear expectations, monitor delegated responsibilities and workload, motivate others to excel, and welcome feedback from team members.
- Prepare bid summaries and review estimates with Estimators, Project Managers, and/or Executives.
- Ensure estimates and revisions are complete and accurate.
- Track and follow up on bid results while maintaining the estimate tracking log.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating is required.
- Preferably, candidates should have field experience as an electrician or hold a degree in Construction Management.
- Significant experience with estimating software is essential.
- Strong capability to perform conceptual estimates for electrical construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of the electrical construction industry.
- Proficient in interpreting various types of drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, as well as fire alarm and other related systems.
