Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBocar US has an exciting opportunity for a Foundry Preventive Maintenance Technician. The Preventive Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing preventive and predictive maintenance in the melting, casting, and finishing areas according to the supervisor indications and requirements. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carries out the preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks in the melting, casting, and finishing areas in order to keep the equipment in optimal conditions (cleanliness and functioning)
  • Exchanges spare parts taking care of the new ones, ensuring its proper installation and functioning as well as the disposal of the damaged ones according to procedures. 
  • Uses the basic functions on the SAP system in order to seek and obtain spare parts, close work orders and give follow up to failure notices. 
  • Performs maintenance tasks according to procedures requesting support in a timely manner if any aspect of them is unknown. 
  • Attends reported failures according to the priority indicated by his immediate boss respecting the safety guidelines as well as all the HSE requirements. 
  • Gives follow up to their responsibilities regarding continuous improvement process (Total Productive Maintenance methodology).
  • Attends internal trainings in order to obtain the necessary skills and fulfill the system quality and environmental audit requirements.
  • Keeps tools, equipment, and work area in order respecting the DOL guidelines at all time. 
  • Works in team providing the necessary information and actions when interrupts his tasks (lunch time, shift end, etc.) in order to give the proper follow up to the pending issues. 


REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
  • Technical Degree Preferred
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects in question of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Risk Management,
  • Knowledge of installed equipment is a plus (Buhler, striko, reis, AGTOS, etc)
  • Problem solving tools,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
