Digital Communications Assistant

General Statement of Duties
This position will assist with projects and day-to-day functions of the Marketing and Communications department, with a specific focus on digital communications.
Responsibilities
- Designs print and digital materials in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team and in accordance with La Pine Community Health Center’s (LCHC) brand guidelines.
- Manages and maintains LCHC’s social media accounts including creation and posting of content, monitoring comments and messages and updating profile information.
- Maintains and updates LCHC’s business listings on Google and other search engines.
- Maintains LCHC’s website and intranet and makes updates in coordination with the contracted web developer.
- Monitors the web and media for mentions of our organization and healthcare-related news in our geographical area and alerts Marketing & Communications Manager when attention is needed.
- Responsible for initiating, facilitating and tracking all patient feedback initiatives including daily post-appointment surveys, annual surveys, and the website's patient feedback form.
- Monitors and maintains digital display screens (such as exam rooms, lobbies and staff break rooms).
- Builds, curates and maintains a library of approved stock images.
- Participates in LCHC’s employee engagement committee and activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Minimum one year experience in digital design or content creation
- Proficient in use of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
- Typing speed of at least 50 WPM and 10 key knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with staff, patients, vendors, and the public
- Enthusiasm for working as a member of a team in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing-related role
- Some experience updating and maintaining a website
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign
Physical Demands Required to Fulfill Essential Functions of this Position
Employee must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Employee must be able to focus on tasks while in an active office environment where conversation and noise is prevalent. Employee must be able to operate a keyboard, write, speak, and hear. Employee must be able to read small print both on paper and on a computer screen for long periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Additional Requirements
- Submit to and pass a drug test
- Successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends.
- Must be able/willing to attend training sessions or meetings out-of-town on your own time.
Working Conditions
There may be exposure to airborne and blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous materials. This position may include working remotely.
