We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer based in West Michigan with a strong portfolio and a passion for creative, strategic communications. As a mission-focused organization, we have inspiring stories to share through our brand. Our graphic designer will concept and execute a wide range of visual tactics for strategic corporate, brand, and service line-level marketing communications. The ideal candidate is creative thinker and effective communicator, bringing expert perspective on brand marketing as well as attention to detail when crafting a print and digital solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Creative / conceptual thinker and visual problem solver.
  • Understands the role of branding as it relates to design and marketing.
  • Marketing savvy, ability to contribute to strategic and tactical ideas for brand and service line level marketing plan.
  • Highly skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Emphasis in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), skills with After Affects, Video Editing, PowerPoint all a plus.
  • Experience in design solutions across multiple mediums (print, digital, social, mobile, video, etc.)
  • Strong experience with print production, including proofing and press checking.
  • Strong portfolio of sample projects including layout and print projects.
  • Capable of presenting ideas in convincing fashion.
  • Capable of writing headlines and light copy.
  • Experience with concepting and launching non-traditional / guerilla marketing / video ideas all a plus.
  • Digital marketing and social media experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines every day.

Anticipated Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Requirements

  • Degree in design/visual communications.
  • 3+ years working in a creative agency, in-house marketing, or high-level freelance capacity with a diverse set of brands and deliverables.
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing campaigns in various formats (web/digital, print)
  • Experience in working with non-profit organizations.
  • Proven skills in project management.
  • Proven ability to partner with writers on crafting strong messages to support design work.
  • Knowledge of print production process: pre-flighting files, proof and press checking etc.
  • Strong knowledge in building and managing brands.
  • Ability to support multiple clients with different needs at the same time.
