Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and trucks. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our equipment fleet, contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with heavy equipment through troubleshooting and inspection.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake replacements, and hydraulic system servicing.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair equipment faults.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role, with a minimum of [X years] of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electronic control systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
