Position Summary

W.E.H. Supply is a small family-owned business specializing in supplying materials for sheds and portable buildings. We take pride in delivering high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a supportive work environment for our team.

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Door Assembler to join our team. This role is an excellent entry point into our company, and we are committed to providing training to the ideal candidate.  The Door Assembler will primarily be responsible for assembling entrance doors, managing inventory, and assisting with packing and shipping orders. This position is based at our warehouse facility and presents an opportunity to play a vital role in our team's success and contribute to our ongoing growth.

 

Education and Experience

  • High School education or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience in assembly or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Previous experience using hand tools and equipment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assemble entrance doors according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform inventory control tasks, including receiving and organizing incoming materials.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Assist with packing and shipping orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and customer deadlines.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure doors meet quality standards and perform adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve skills and stay current with company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Communication - Excellent communication and teamwork skills a must
  • Work Setting - Conditions may include moderate to high noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions.
  • Pace and Scheduling - Monday-Friday schedule. Ability to work Saturdays to perform work, as necessary.
  • Physical- Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery; ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs. Extended periods of standing while working with hand tools and moving objects.
