Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist plays an integral role in ensuring casino operations are meeting the requirements of both the state and federal regulators. With guidance from the Senior Corporate Compliance Manager, this position will participate in a variety of projects including Title 31/Anti-Monday Laundering, Minimum Internal Controls, record keeping, interacting with casino personnel and preparing reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the daily Title 31 audits to ensure compliance with the BSA and State regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance of the property’s AML Title 31 training.
- Responsible for filing CTRs and SARs with FinCEN and State Regulators.
- Responsible for performing the monthly know your customer (KYC) procedure for the property.
- Maintain an organized system of record keeping for all applicable reports and documents.
- Utilize property reports and resources to identify and research potentially suspicious activity submitting Suspicious Activity Incident Reports (SAIRs) for AML related activities to the SAR Committee.
- Prepare and issue Exception Notices for instances of noncompliance with Title 31 procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the regulations and requirements, for both gaming and AML.
- Ability to prioritize projects, adhere to deadlines, work independently, and use critical thinking to analyze data.
- Assist property Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance with MICS.
- In-person supplemental Suspicious Activity training for employees.
- Review and log reports and directives related to employee regulatory infractions.
- Assist property leadership with licensing renewals for both gaming and non-gaming.
- Ensure the property is in compliance with all aspects of Responsible Gaming
- Assist the General Manager with property submission for quarterly Compliance Committee meetings
- Participates in the maintenance of the property system of internal controls. Maintenance includes amendments and revisions to control verbiage to provide for effective and compliant casino operations.
- Other related tasks as assigned by Corporate Compliance or the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Must be 21 years of age or older.
All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Gaming experience or working in an industry with reporting responsibilities to State or Federal Regulators preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain and maintain Missouri Gaming Commission Level 2 Occupational License
