Our fast-paced clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures as needed.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, medications, and test results, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administrative Duties: Perform front office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all medical equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining adequate levels of medical and office supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and placing orders as needed.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions for medications, treatments, and procedures, ensuring they understand their care plan and follow-up instructions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care delivery.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in identifying opportunities for process optimization and workflow enhancements.
- Compliance: Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working as a medical assistant in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Ability to perform Phlebotomy, intramuscular injects and manual vitals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards of conduct.
- Flexibility to work all clinical hours and 3 Saturdays a month from 8am-12pm (Will have weekday off when working Saturday)
