POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to transport products from our facility to our customers site in a safe and efficient manner. May assist in loading and unload vehicle. May also manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other unskilled general labor in the warehouse as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow all company, state and federal safety regulations and policies.
  • Maintain professional representation of Architectural Surfaces in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving.
  • Timely deliveries.
  • Responsible for performing material inspections before and at time of deliveries.
  • Assist in loading and unloading, may operate forklift once trained.
  • Paperwork concerning delivery orders, reports of damage.
  • Responsible for maintaining records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including daily vehicle inspections, driver’s logs (ELD), fuel purchases, mileage records when applicable, and other records required by FMCSA and Architectural Surfaces’ policy.

Help in the warehouse as needed, including the following:

  • Load and unload material onto trucks safely and accurately.
  • Stage material for both customer viewing and loading trucks.
  • Inspect, count, and verify all materials/products received against paperwork documentation before unloading trucks/containers. Note any discrepancies in the paperwork.
  • Sign off on all orders and obtain cross-check with co-workers/supervisor.
  • Safely secure all slabs when loading/unloading the truck.
  • Tag and identify material when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including cutting pallets and placing them in dumpsters.
  • Responsible for quality control. Inspect material when loading trucks to ensure customer satisfaction and to ensure content material is in satisfactory condition when unloading containers.
  • Follow and adhere to all Company safety policies and standard operating procedures, including utilizing required PPE.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Must have at least 2 years of commercial driving with a clean record.

· Must have a current Class B CDL Driver's License and MedCard.

· Hardworking, dependable individual with a team player attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Ability to push/pull/lift to 50+ lbs.

· Ability to maneuver to and from trailer deck.

· Flexibility regarding shift start/ finish times.

· Ability to work in outdoor elements.
