Job Title: CDL Class A Driver Home Every Week

Job Overview:

Are you a skilled CDL Class A driver looking for a home every week? American Driver is seeking a reliable and experienced driver to join our team for regional dry van runs. As a CDL Class A driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country
  • Operate a freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680, both automatic and manual trucks not older than 2 years
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain a safe and clean vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other drivers to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and adhere to company safety policies

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
  • No preventable accidents in the last 5 years
  • No more than 1 year of unemployment in the last 5 years
  • No more than 4 jobs in the last year
  • No safety terminations from previous employers in the last 5 years
  • No DUI, DWI, or SAP drivers
  • No felonies or misdemeanors in the last 10 years

Training and Development:

  • Recent graduates welcome
  • Drivers with less than 3 months of experience require a 46-week training program with an instructor

  • Training is paid $650/week

Equipment:

  • Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth T680
  • Both automatic and manual trucks not older than 2 years
  • Equipped with fridges, power inverters, and APU units
