Chief Revenue Officer

Location: This position will be located in Salt Lake City, UT

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced and visionary Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to develop and lead our global revenue strategy and help accelerate sustainable growth across various industry verticals. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will create and execute a global revenue strategy using multiple sales channels such as enterprise, partner, integrator, and direct sales. With ample scope to refine sales methodologies and cultivate pivotal alliances, the CRO offers a tremendous opportunity to achieve our ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive revenue generation strategies and tighten the alignment of all revenue-generating activities, drive sustainable growth, and achieve revenue targets across the entire customer life cycle.

  • Cultivate a centralized focus on the overall customer experience globally.

  • Lead and inspire a global team of sales and revenue professionals, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to maximize performance and results.

  • Identify new market and channel opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and innovate go-to-market strategies to expand our customer base and revenue streams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, technology, and operations, to ensure alignment and synergy in revenue-generating.

  • Drive innovation in sales processes, technology, and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer engagement.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to understand the interconnectedness of marketing and sales efforts to inform revenue growth strategies and decision-making.

  • Use data and information to propose budgets that lead to the most efficient speed to revenue by understanding the cost/benefit relationship of all types of sales spending (sales engineer, inside sales, customer account management, hunting activities, direct marketing, and branding).

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous revenue growth.

  • Cultivate a diverse high-performance culture within the revenue organization, fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional development while aligning the key sales activities into the top priorities of other commercial functions, particularly focusing on alignment with PTISO, Operations, Finance, and HR.

  • Represent Packsize at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and market presence.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team and board of directors on revenue performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Understanding the packaging industry landscape, including trends, challenges, and emerging technologies, is crucial. Familiarity with various packing process flows, materials and sustainability practices would provide valuable insights.

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation technologies, integrator landscape, and software solutions relevant to the packaging industry would be beneficial.

  • Has a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles driving revenue growth within a global organization, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector. Must have comprehensive solution and system selling experience and experience in alternative monetization business models such as direct sales, partner sales, PaaS, and other services.

  • Understands the global market, including familiarity with international sales channels, distribution networks, and regulatory environments relevant to the packaging industry. Further experience or knowledge in sustainability practices, circular economy principles, and green technologies would be a plus.

  • Has extensive experience cultivating, leading, and managing diverse high-performing sales teams in a global organization.

  • Demonstrates solid strategic reasoning, analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to translate market insights into practical revenue-generating strategies.

  • Possesses excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, the ability to influence and collaborate effectively within all levels of the organization, and the demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively navigate ambiguity and complexity.

  • Has a strategic mindset focusing on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable results.

  • Can travel domestically and internationally frequently, up to 75% of the time.
