The Marquardt, an Illuminus Community, is set on a 52-acre campus with rolling green lawns, gorgeous trees and flowers and paved walkways. The Marquardt offers assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing care and low-income housing as well as independent living options for older adults in Garden Homes and apartments.

Established in 1969, The Marquardt has continued to transform expectations of senior living with ever-evolving and expansive options in Watertown, Wisconsin, conveniently located halfway between Madison and Milwaukee.

1. Maintains all campus grounds and other properties as assigned guided by principles of cleanliness, safety and aesthetics. Removes garbage/debris from grounds, maintains/cleans/paints/stains the exteriors of buildings, outdoor structures and outdoor furniture, monitors/maintains sidewalks, parking lots, drives, lighting, etc. for safety concerns.

2. Plants, waters, fertilizes, weeds, deadheads/prunes and/or divides all bulbs, annuals, perennials, ornamental grasses, shrubs, trees and indoor plants as needed.

3. Prunes trees and shrubs in the correct season and manner appropriate for species/location, monitoring hazardous and dead trees/shrubs for removal.

4. Installs/maintains seasonal displays including seasonal flowers/plants, autumn displays, and holiday lighting.

5. Applies herbicide, fertilizer, other pesticides as needed; removes and/or treats with herbicide all unwanted vegetation such as weeds and invasive species.

6. Maintains all campus water features and storm water systems.

7. Maintains turf on all campus grounds, including turf repair, seeding/over-seeding, aerating, dethatching, fertilizing, watering, mowing and edging/trimming.

8. Performs snow removal on all campus grounds.

9. Facilitates resident gardening on campus.

10. Responsible for interior painting as assigned.

11. Maintains all campus grounds equipment to comply with applicable codes and regulations. Operates landscape equipment as needed to perform required tasks.

12. Maintains effective communication with residents/tenants/patients/clients and family members / personal representatives.

13. Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
