Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

Prior print experience and/or education in graphic design/printing processes is preferred The prepress technician will prepare art files for print according to production ticket specs, and operate and maintain plate-processing equipment to help produce a quality product

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand print production tickets in order to prepare art files accurately.

• Utilize prepress software (ie. Adobe Creative Suite; Apogee imposition software) to create layouts, job planning and files for press.

• Operate and maintain prepress and plating equipment.

• Maintain schedule of jobs to achieve on-time delivery.

• Balance quality, productivity, cost and safety to achieve positive results.

• Lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.

• Comply with all company policies.

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to job function and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S).

Knowledge/Skills:

• HS diploma or general education degree (GED). Graphic design education or print-related education preferred.

• Prior printing experience or 2 years of prepress experience with knowledge of print production processes, including prepress preparation, file formats and printing techniques (ie. typography, color and composition) is preferred.

• Strong computer skills needed including Adobe Creative Suite and imposition software (ie. Apogee) experience.

• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
