Job DescriptionJob Description

The Escrow Officer is responsible for Coordinating real estate business, and supervising that all legal paperwork hasbeen completed. Which includes processing and ensuring the property titles areclear, debts have been paid, and financial obligations have been met. You wouldneed to coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and other parties toensure all requirements are met before closing. You would also be in charge of the safekeeping of the earnest money and transferring funds once the deal has beenclosed.


Duties:
- Manage the escrow process from start to finish, ensuring all necessarydocumentation is collected and reviewed.
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and other parties involved inthe transaction to ensure a smooth closing process.
- Prepare and review closing documents, including settlement statements andtitle insurance policies.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of property records to identify anypotential issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients and provide timely updates on the progress of theirescrow transactions.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughoutthe escrow process.
- Maintain accurate and organized files and records related to each escrowtransaction.

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, including experience with FNMAguidelines, TILA regulations, and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with loan processing, loan origination, underwriting, andmortgage servicing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for reviewingcomplex financial documents.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple escrow transactionssimultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, lenders,real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in math to accurately calculate fees, interest rates, andprorated amounts.
- High level of professionalism and integrity in handling confidential clientinformation.

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Prior experience as anEscrow Officer or a similar role in the financial services industry isrequired.
