The Building People are interviewing for a Scanning/Imaging Technician.

  • Technical skills and expertise will be critical in ensuring the accuracy and precision of the resulting digital models, which will be used for a range of purposes, including design, engineering, and documentation.
  • Use cutting-edge 3D scanning technology and software to capture detailed and accurate digital models of vessels.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that the digital models meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and ensure that deliverables are met on time and on budget
  • Maintain accurate records of all scans, including metadata and other relevant information.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure that project milestones are met, and expectations are managed
  • 3 years expert command in the areas of 3D laser scanning and/or 3D imaging both building exterior and interior locations, creating BIM models from scan data, QA/QC principles to ensure accurate data.
  • Principal 3D Laser Scanning/Imaging service provider for at least three projects of comparable size, type, scope, and complexity
  • Strong technical skills and experience with 3D scanning technology and software.
  • Expertise and knowledge and must include not only an expert command of 3D Laser Scanning and/or 3D Imaging principles and methods, but domain expertise.
  • Expertise in the domain of the required modeling, including, but not limited to: Architecture, Interior Design, Structural and Geotechnical, Civil, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Safety, Elevator, Electrical (Power and Lighting), and Construction

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor degree from accredited school
  • Knowledge of Autodesk. Revit, AutoCad workflow and handheld imaging laser scanner
