We are committed to considering candidates who represent and celebrate the rich multicultural community we serve.Position OverviewThe Farm Stand Manager will oversee all aspects of farm stand operations. This is a full-time, seasonal position running from May through November. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Weekly Farm Stand Management Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with musicians and guests on all farm stand programming.
  • Communicate and schedule visiting vendors, demos, etc.
  • Set up/breakdown tents, tables, and other necessary equipment.
  • Place signage and marketing materials.
  • Greet farm stand visiting vendors, musicians, and anyone tabling; assist with setup.
  • Assist with CSA pickups, vegetable sales, greeters' tables, demos, and any programming as needed.
  • Create updates and highlights about farm stand events for the newsletter and social media.
General Farm Management Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and coordination of market events.
  • Manage market paperwork and permitting by working with staff to complete the necessary paperwork with ISD, Office of Food Justice, DTA, and Mass Farmers Markets.
  • Coordinate and run Farmers Market Coupon distribution, including collecting data and completing reports as needed for the Office of Food Justice.
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for Revision Urban Farm during the transition period as we integrate Revision and UFI farming operations.
  • Maintain a regular presence at Revision Urban Farm and serve as a liaison between Revision clients, staff, customers, and UFI.
  • Work closely with the Farm Manager and production team to determine staffing and resource needs between Revision and UFI properties.
  • Attend meetings and conferences on behalf of UFI and Revision Urban Farm with the intention of continuing on-the-job learning, and networking/building connections with broader farming communities.
  • Work with the production team to strengthen relationships with other Urban Farms in Boston through collaboration and exchange.
Qualifications:
  • Passion for urban farming and community engagement.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
