The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our office environment. You will play a crucial role in providing basic maintenance services, maintaining the employee kitchen, stocking snacks and beverages, handling package deliveries, and supporting a variety of other office optimization projects. This is a full-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities
Regularly inspect and restock the office snack and kitchen areas
Coordinate with vendors for kitchen supplies and equipment maintenance
General housekeeping such as trash removal, mopping, and spot cleaning
Set up conference rooms for important meetings
Maintain office common areas
Receive and sort deliveries
Answer the front door and check-in visitors
Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related requests
Assist with setup and breakdown of office events and meetings
Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify and address any facility-related issues
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a day porter or facilities technician
Nice to Have
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Exceptional communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Suite
Experience handling a variety of task
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly pay range for this non-exempt role is $20 – $30 + equity in the company
Hourly rate will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level
