Job Summary:
The SVP of Technology (SVPT) is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with business goals and supports the organization's growth plans. The SVPT plays a crucial role in driving technological innovation, shaping the digital roadmap and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives within the organization. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining efficient and reliable technology operations, including systems infrastructure, network, data management and security protocols for high performance, uptime and data integrity. This executive role requires a deep understanding of both technology and the unique challenges of the behavioral healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading technology teams, driving innovation, and managing large-scale projects in a geographically diverse environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Upholds and maintains the Company, mission, and values (called the Lightfully "Shining Commitments").

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's technology strategy to support its overall mission and business objectives.
  • Oversees the design and implementation of robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards and industry's best practices.
  • Provide leadership and vision to the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Align technology initiatives with organizational goals, including improving client care, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.
  • Creates and manages the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Technology Management:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions tailored to our geographic footprint and growth objectives.
  • Oversees all system designs and changes in system architecture.
  • Responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and resiliency of the organization's information systems, data and devices
  • Maintain current software licenses and monitor the management of hardware and software licenses.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of all technology systems and infrastructure with a cloud first approach for both local and remote operations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the company.

Innovation and Development:

  • Drive the development of new products and features that address the needs of clients, providers, and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team, encouraging experimentation and creative problem-solving to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology solutions that can enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes across varying verticals.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team and supporting vendors.
  • Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the technology team and provide ongoing feedback and support, leveraging remote collaboration tools as needed.
  • Manage technology budgets and resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization to support our growth and regional needs.
  • Provide supervision, support and coaching to employees. Other management activities include (but are not limited to):
    • Interviewing, hiring, goal development, onboarding and ensuring continuous training requirements and compliance items are met.
    • 1:1 and team meetings to discuss successes, challenges, new projects, innovations, company changes, etc.
    • Timely coaching and disciplinary action (delivery and documentation), as needed
    • Completing performance reviews for employees within company designated timeframes
    • Maintain employees' timecards in the Payroll system, ensuring the correct hours are accounted for, overtime is managed, and paid-time off requests are promptly addressed.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all technology solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and other data protection laws.
  • Implement and oversee robust security measures to protect sensitive patient data and company assets.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and requirements.
  • Communicate technology strategies and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to the Board of Directors and investors.
  • Act as a liaison between the technology team and other departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Specific Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to speak English fluently is a requirement.
  • Ability to communicate and write clearly and professionally is required.
  • Strong communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, referents, and the public.
  • Ability to think tactically and translate business objectives into technology initiatives.
  • Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the behavioral health industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate with individuals over phone, electronic correspondence, and in-person.
  • Ability to operate in occasionally noisy environments.
  • May be required to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and lift/move up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Mental/Social Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate working effectively with and showing respect to all clients/patients and staff, including those from diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, sexual preferences and/or identities, gender identities/expression, and political backgrounds.
  • Must maintain a positive, friendly, and welcoming attitude with staff and clients at all LBH facilities and within the organization.
  • Must utilize professional communication when addressing issues with clients or staff.

Other Information

  • Must pass extensive background check.
  • This is a remote position and requires the ability to perform all duties and responsibilities at home.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; required. Master's degree, preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in senior technology roles, preferably in the behavioral health industry.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Experience in growth-stage companies operating across multiple regions, strongly preferred.
