HEI is a full-service civil engineering, surveying, environmental and technology solutions consulting firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. Our water resources engineers work on a variety of exciting projects including design work for drainage, stormwater management, flood control, levee/floodwall, hydraulic structures, and similar projects.
Job Description- Effectively use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design various project features.
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
- Assist in preparation of reports, specifications, plan creation, and permit applications.
- Interface with CAD designers and coordinate with other engineering departments on complex multi-discipline projects.
- Assist in client contact and communications.
- Onsite construction observation of designed projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering with water resources emphasis.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with design team and clients.
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
- Solid communication and critical thinking skills, along with attention to detail.
- Positive attitude under pressure, strong team player, responsible and self-motivated.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD or other modeling software is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and in good standing with periodic travel necessary
