Retail Sales Manager

Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Set clear sales goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring that all team members provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Develop training programs to enhance the sales team's product knowledge, customer service skills, and sales techniques.
- Provide ongoing coaching to improve the team's sales performance and customer interactions.
- Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate team and individual performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the inventory manager to ensure proper stock levels, availability, and assortment of firearms and accessories.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute sales promotions, events, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that sales initiatives are aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Generate regular sales reports for management, analyzing sales data, trends, and forecasts.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies.
- Manage the sales department budget, allocating resources effectively to meet sales targets.
- Ensure that all sales activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing firearm sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and providing personalized service.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the firearm industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of firearms, ammunition, shooting accessories, and related regulations.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team to success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in sales analysis and using CRM software.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
