You will receive incoming materials, components, and supplies; maintain proper levels of stockroom inventory; pick/deliver components to production areas; load/unload freight from trucks with a forklift, and cycle.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Receive all incoming deliveries and remove items from delivery vehicles; stage in Receiving Area
  • Review packing slips attached to incoming deliveries; count and verify items; look for damage and specification departures
  • Deliver item to addressee or place in proper inventory storage area and deliver receiving paperwork to proper point of contact
  • Work with Purchasing Department and Production Supervisor to ensure components are available when needed
  • Maintain stockroom and shipping area in neat and orderly fashion
  • Store hazardous materials according to OSHA standards
  • Scanning packing lists for accounting
  • Conduct cycle counts as required
  • Handle returned goods in expedient fashion to obtain proper credit
  • Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, moving, storing, or stacking materials using standard safety
  • Cross-train with other areas as requested
  • Assist in other areas of Production as requested principles
  • Handles RMAs
  • Work overtime as required
  • Other reasonably related duties


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Active Driver’s License helpful
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools as well as a hand jack
  • Operate forklift (certification will be provided if hired)

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately
  • Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Ability to complete tasks working with others and independently
  • Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing, and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending; twisting; kneeling; squatting; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing; holding, grasping, and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; use safety ladder; tolerate varying ranges of temperature in a Shop environment.


Education and Experience:

  • High School/GED
  • Working knowledge of Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse standard operating procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge in a proficient and safe manner; forklift experience; 0-3 years relevant experience.


Supervision Required: Medium – Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None
