Business Systems Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

As Vision Benefits of America (VBA) continues to enjoy unprecedented growth, we need to expand internal expertise for enterprise transformation initiatives and support current information technology and systems. As a result, VBA is seeking to recruit an analyst who will divide responsibilities between business and quality analysis. This individual will be responsible for offering software application support, encompassing tasks such as business analysis, data analysis, quality assurance testing and help desk support for diverse software applications. The incumbent will review, analyze, and evaluate user requests, coordinate and monitor requests to a successful resolution and document business requirements for projects of any size. Due to the dynamic nature of this role, the incumbent must be comfortable in shifting work priorities and proactively anticipating business needs while taking personal ownership of the outcome.

This is a remote position within the Pittsburgh, PA area. In-office work may occur periodically based on business need.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work cross-functionally with key business owners to establish expectations on functional scope
• Facilitate meetings and interviews with stakeholders to determine application requirements
• Elicit and clearly and concisely document business requirements needed to conduct current state analysis and determine To-Be functional rules and design
• Write user stories, system requirements, and business rules
• Identify, monitor, track, and resolve production-related system errors
• Define and execute test plans
• Work collaboratively with Product Manager to create and implement project plans and manage post-implementation support
• Prepare wireframe drafts, create workflows, and estimate project timelines
• Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate system outages and production support issues
• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and system and performance testing
• Conduct user acceptance testing
• Facilitate daily scrum along with scrum ceremonies

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a business and quality analyst Working knowledge of business analysis best practices and methodologies.
• At least 1-year of experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience using Jira or a similar ticketing system

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including narrative descriptions and flow charts
• Ability to create basic user interface mock-ups
