Job Duties/ Responsibilities of the Electrical Field Technician


  • Travel to project sites to obtain necessary benchmarks to complete technical design documents for Electrical systems/ Layouts
  • Create detailed map layouts for projects
  • Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
  • Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
  • Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design department to produce permit-ready documents
  • Gathers detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings
  • Gathers all electrical data required by the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualification Requirements of the Electrical Field Technician


  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a Construction related field
  • Site Audit experience preferred
  • Electrical experience is preferred
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD
  • Must have experience with Digital layout tools similar to the Hilti Total Station
  • Ability to understand, read, and comprehends plans and written and verbal communication skills required in order to conduct point to point locations on project sites customers
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Trade School degree in a construction, building sciences, or engineering a plus
  • Must be physically able to work at heights and different weather environments, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to travel to different job sites if needed
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by the company
  • Must adhere to company screenings
