Are you an experienced and licensed Journeyman Electrician looking for a new opportunity? Look no further We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable electrician to join our team and work on our Generac Home Backup System Installation as well as Residential Service (as needed).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, such as lighting, power distribution, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, fire alarms, and data communication.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty or damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Follow all established safety policies and procedures and report any hazards or injuries to the supervisor.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers.
  • Keep current on the latest developments and innovations in the electrical field.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician (Illinois).
  • OSHA 10 required within first 30-days of employment

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • At least four years of experience in electrical work.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Skill in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, generators, transformers, and lighting systems.
Schedule:
The schedule for this role is primarily Monday Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients.

This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and/or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces. You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig/trench outside in increment weather as needed for projects. All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards.
