Job Purpose: As a Tiki/Bartender, you will be the face of our Monkey Bar, providing warm, knowledgeable service to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience. Your positive attitude and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, whether you’re greeting guests, preparing drinks, or ensuring safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Greet and seat guests with a smile, ensuring they enjoy their time at the bar.
- Problem Solving: Handle difficult situations diplomatically and professionally.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety programs, Health Department regulations, and Company SOPs.
- Sanitation: Maintain and enforce sanitation laws within the kitchen and restaurant areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and be available to assist in emergencies.
- Drink Preparation: Mix and prepare a variety of beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ingredient Management: Select and manage high-quality ingredients while adhering to safety standards.
- Customer Engagement: Educate and interact with customers, offering personalized service.
- Bar Operations: Keep the bar area clean and organized, following proper sanitation practices.
- Training & Development: Stay updated on industry trends and mentor junior staff.
- Upselling: Actively promote featured cocktails and premium spirits to enhance guest experience and maximize sales.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Familiarity with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to 4 hours, lift up to 15 pounds, and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for guest interaction and team collaboration.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
